The Soto, the first mass timber framed office building in Texas, is a six-story tower with ground floor retail that anchors the 8.5-acre mixed-use redevelopment which will include a renovation of older buildings and ground-up, new buildings for a new live-work neighborhood that relies heavily on sustainability. The project includes 140,600 square feet of office space on 5 levels above a ground floor that will potentially include a coffee shop and high-end restaurant. The building also uses a raised floor system with under-floor air distribution for heating and cooling.
