MISD Center for the Performing Arts

The Mansfield Independent School District Center for the Performing Arts is a 150,000 square foot state of the art performance hall. The building features a drilled pier with structural slab foundation, structural steel framing, 82 foot cast in place concrete columns with exposed architectural concrete. The trusses span 250 feet and features W14x550 and W14x311 top and bottom cords, respectively. The exterior of the building utilizes masonry, metal panels, insulated precast panels, curtainwall, and a modified bitumen and single ply roofing system. The 5,500 seat theater includes an acoustical enhancement system and features movable wall panels 50 feet in height. The building sits on a site with over 500,000 square feet of paving.
